Staff at British International Helicopters in Penzance have been called in to help out on an unusual mission on a National Trust Estate in the North West of England. The Company was asked to airlift parts of a giant children's play area onto an inaccessible hillside at the historic Lyme Park in Cheshire. The team behind the project at Lyme Park decided that the structure could not be built on site, and the only option was to winch the materials in from above. At the centre of the structure, known as a playscape, are four wooden pyramids each weighing several tonnes. Each is 12 metres high, equivalent to three double decker buses on top of one another. | ||
